Pregnant or not pregnant...thats the question. Does the math add up?

A guy has an affair with a girl for 8 months as he figures out his marriage. The first of the month is when she has period. April 20-22 was the last sexual encounter and on April 27th, 28th he tells girl that it is over he's working stuff out with the wife. Now its June 13th and this girl alleges that on Thursday she took a home preg. test and got a positive reading. Does this sound like a last ditch effort to get him back and break up a marriage?
