How can people do so badly in a class that doesn't require even the slightest effort to get an A or B? In my freshman and sophomore english classes, you never got homework. The only "home work" you had was to read an story out of the book, then the next day you have a quiz on it. He goes over the quizzes in class and you can pretty much cheat, and he wouldn't notice. The bigger assignments you did was write papers, do two speeches, and write journals. You didn't even have to put much effort, and you would get an A or B. But some people couldn't do a speech, or write papers. Why is it so difficult for some people? I don't understand..Why can't some people do the simplest tasks?

I interned at a place 3 months ago ,and everything started to go decently for the first 2 months. So they remove this great computer ,and instead give me a 10 year old computer in which it's very hard to do my own work. My main contribution to the company was learning in my intern ,but 3 weeks before he makes a decision (my boss) whether to keep me or not he slams me with all of this work that involves learning a complete different piece of software ,and expects me to adapt. I adapt as fast as possible ,and constantly get lectures and whined at for making "mistakes." First of all, I developed the company intranet ,and have done Data Administration work ,and type 95 wpm in which they have not given me credit. He gives me a piece of software literally 2 days after hiring me ,and expects me to learn it ,and gets pissed because I made "mistakes" which is inevitable for a first time user on a certain software. And when I try to impress he shuts down my ideas or gets upset ,and then sometimes he even decides he likes them. It's about 2 weeks since I graduated ,and I am beginning to question whether my job is really worth it. Since then I have moved in which it takes me a 45 minute drive to go to work + traffic. So literally I am making $60 for 10 hours of my time which is poor I literally view this as working at McDonald's ,and driving so far to work there ,but this isn't the case. They are paying me to use my freaking brain ,and I am not getting respected for it. OK so i open the game Enemy Territory: Quake Wars on my PC and it automatically brightens my screen to fit the game. This time i hit Alt+Tab to open a recording program and i saw that my screen was bright, no big deal, it'll og back when i close the game, and it always does. This time, however, when i closed it with Task Manager it said the game stopped working and i closed it. the screen was still bright. i opened and closed the game normally but the screen stayed teh same. im not going to fix my monitor brightness, i want to know how to switch it back non-manually, so i can know how to anyway.

Our neighbour's car was scratched at some point yesterday evening. Help with Sims 3 glitches ?

I've had this game ever since it came out and it's been fine but the other day I downloaded a new hairstyle from the sims 3 official website with the free 'sim points' I got for purchasing the game. Yesterday was the first time I used that hairstyle in the game and in a couple hours of playing time it started to glitch up, one of my sims (The one with the new hairstyle) had their head disappear! I thought ok this will clear up if I give her an action to do such as making her take a bath but no, she still had no head AND she was doing everything in martial arts clothing, bathing, sleeping in them ect. I started playing thismorning again and now theres another problem, both of my sims can't sleep, I task them to sleep but once they get into bed they then sort of jump out and appear at a random spot, the kitchen, garden ect. I have no idea what to do and it's getting really frustrating. I've heard that these downloads can make games glitchy if you download too much (I however have only downloaded 2 things.) but surely from the sims 3 website it should have been ok ? Everytime I get into a relationship I become the most selfish person and heartless to their other emotional needs besides ones that relate to just me and him. Is my guinea pig seeing something "supernatural"?

So I know this sounds crazy, but its hard to say what exactly is real and not real. So anyways, my eldest piggy (who's having these problems) is turning 8 years old in December, so I'm not sure if her age is related or not. We let all four of our guinea pigs run 3 times or more a day, and now our oldest refuses to come out. When she did, she couldn't seem to get past this "wall" on the carpeting. In less than 30 seconds the two of them sprinted and ran right into their cage at the exact same time. (I passed this off as conincedene). It's summer and I'm in university calculus 3 right now and there's this really smart high school sophomore next to me who I've become friends with. I have a big problem! When I turn on my Dell Inspiron, it loads and everything and when it gets to the part where you click your user profile and log in, nothing is their. Like My profile isn't their its just completely blank. But the background is still their its like blue and green or something. The cursor moves but no buttons worked. Iv tried to open task manager and when the computer boots up iv tried safe mode and system restore and repair, but it just always ends up booting to this blank login screen with the background. If anyone knows how to fix this please let me know, thanks.

On that the Bible is not the only old book where insects legs were miscounted, as you put it. The other books have illustrated drawings to label what they called the legs instead, and the Bible does not. With out a clear cut idea as to what they were referring to, it is hard to give them the benefit of the doubt. Personally, I take it that either they were unable to count based on hunger or injury to the critter in question. Face it, if you hunt down a grasshopper, pulling a leg off here and there can and will happen. You also tend to miscount when hungry, it make it harder to pay attention.

However, he was stopped on his way home from the pub last night in a different area entirely, and the policeman did a background check on him; because of that he then became a person of interest to them because of robberies in the area, purely because he had this arrest on record. Now, I'm aware that every mother thinks her son is a good kid, and I'm no different, but he wasn't in trouble with the police before that event, and hasn't been since. IF he can, HOW can he get his arrest record cleared? Isn't there now some procedure he can follow?

I actually asked the same thing not too long ago. I've been coming (or at least trying) up with a series since I was 12, I'm 21 now. I've had at least 2-3 really good/creative ones, but died out over time when I had to focus on work/school, so now i'm trying to get back into it. The best advice I could give you from my experience, BE ORIGINAL, yet good. The one thing I hate is people just do the same BS over n over. Don't get me wrong, it's ok to have strong influences from certain stories, but try to make it something uniquely yours. If you're dead serious about getting the right art supplies, there are professional kits ranging in prices, it depends, look it up. They usually have everything from pen, basic drawing pencils, shading pencils...ect. I think the trickiest part is getting decent colors. As for publishing I'm not sure. I heard Akira Toriyama (creator of dragonball (z)) got big/noticed after winning a contest when he submitted his comics/drawing he made as a hobby and from there started getting his stuff published from there. I'm not too professional myself, so this is all I can tell ya, hope I helped
